Gold Manipulation - Is It Over Yet?

Gold manipulation has been a harsh reality for a number of years. Read on to learn who is behind it, their motivation for doing it and whether it still exists...

The Motive

The price of gold was actually suppressed to help prop up the U.S. Dollar or make it look strong.

The reason is simple, if the price of gold looks strong, the value of the dollar looks weak. When there is no confidence in the dollar, investments in it begin to drop which causes it to loses value even more.

Also, if it looks weak, major economic countries like China and India are no longer interested in sinking their currency reserves into the dollar. They turn to other currencies and gold.

The Suspects

The big players in this gold price manipulation are the central banks that do the bidding for the Federal reserve in the metals markets.

To learn more about their motives read Gold Price Manipulation - by Sid Reynolds on the GATA(Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee) website.

The Verdict

One thing is for certain, the manipulation game has pretty much come to a screeching halt!

With the supply dwindling, today's demand for gold is making it virtually impossible to manipulate the price.
